One should explore his/her own country first, before any other, thus, this year I am determined to do the same.
So, recently I had gone to Kerala for a vacation, and I was mesmerized by it's beauty. Be it the breathtaking mountains or the soothing sea, Kerala has it all. After all, it's known as "God's own country" for a reason.

DAY 1
After landing in Kerala, we set off for our very first destination, which was Munnar. It's about a 4 hour long journey from Kochi airport. On our way there, we had stopped at a spice garden, which had a remedial plant for literally every body problem. Furthermore,by the time we had reached our destination it was already dusk, and we couldn't explore much.
Here are some pictures from the spice garden.

DAY 2
Day 2 was all about exploring Munnar, so we left pretty early in the morning (around 9 a.m.). We started off by experiencing a speed boat ride on a lake, followed by visiting few view points, a tea garden and lastly a tea factory.
After a day full of events, we couldn't have been happier to return to our hotel room.

DAY 3
On this day we were supposed to leave for Alleppey, and I cannot explain how excited I was. Because, guess what, we were gonna be staying in a house boat for a night!
Munnar to Alleppey was a 4-5 hour ride. The houseboat that we were staying in was not only well maintained but also had great services. The only problem that I had faced was with the quality of water. Nonetheless, we had a wonderful stay there.

DAY 4
This was the second last day of our trip and we were scheduled to leave Alleppey for Kovalam, which was again going to be a 4 hour long ride. Kovalam was that destination which I was waiting for, through the entire trip since I nothing makes me happier than the sea. Since the time we reached there, we spent all our time on the beach, relaxing.

DAY 5
So finally, it was the last day not only at Kovalam but also of our Kerala trip. On this day, we spent some time by the sea, after which we visited another beach, known as the Varkala beach. Lastly, we ate some good food and went back to our hotel room, as we had to catch an early morning flight the next day.

This was all about my Kerala trip. I hope, this helped you, and also would advice you to visit this place atleast once in your lifetime.
Until next time,
Much love.
