Hey guys!

We recently visited 'The Wise Owl Steak House' for lunch, so I thought why not share my experience with you guys.

It's located in 66/2 B Purna Das Road, Gariahat, Kolkata - 700029. It is known basically for it's steaks, as you might've guessed from it's name.

AMBIENCE :

The Wise Owl Cafe/Steak House is divided as the cafe ( which occupies the ground floor) and the steakhouse ( which is located on the terrace). We opted to go to the steakhouse on the terrace. It is a decently spaced area, without air conditioning facilities, thus letting one enjoy the natural breeze. The furniture as well as the floor is wooden and the decoration is very simple yet pleasing. However, it is not really the ideal place to visit during summer with the sun on top of our heads.

The Cafe, downstairs, is air conditioned and also has minimal decoration.

Moreover, if one pleases to stay downstairs and enjoy the natural air, he/she may grab a seat outside the cafe, which is also a sitting area.

THE FOOD :

We had ordered a plate of Penne Pasta with Cheese Sauce and Chicken , Tender Loin Steak and a Virgin Mojito.

Penne Pasta:

This was an Italian dish of pasta which was dipped in white sauce, made of Parmesan cheese, to which pieces of chicken were also added.

This dish was presented just as we would have liked it to be. There was ample amount of cheese in it as well as chicken. The taste was pretty good and the presentation was also fine. Though, steaks are a hot favorite here but, Penne Pasta is no far behind .

The quantity was more than enough and easily suffices for two.

Price: INR 220.

Tender Loin Steak:

According to us, this dish was the star of the day. It was a medium cooked beef steak, served with vegetables. The meat was extremely well cooked. We were also nourished with a number of options of sauces, out which we had chosen to go with the brown sauce. The sauce had enriched the flavor of the dish to an unimaginable extent.

Moreover, the quantity of the meat was just perfect for one person.

This is a highly recommended dish for all of you out there reading this.

Price: INR 280.

Tender Loin Steak

Virgin Mojito:

The Mojito tasted fine but was tad bit different due to it's added sweetness. Anyhow, it can definitely be ordered to complement the rest of the dishes.

Price: INR 150.

Overall, we pretty much liked this place and recommend it. Also, we considered the price of the dishes to be really reasonable as compared to the quantity of the food.
